Guys DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS FLIGHT SCHOOL NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU. THIS SCHOOL IS A SCAM THAT WILL EAT YOUR MONEY. I applied for the ATPL integrated course which was very well sold to me by the instructor from the United Kingdom his name was Christopher. I went through their selection process which was all revealed to me by Christopher, he told me exactly what was gonna come up in the interview. The reason I am saying this is because a flight school like L3 Harris etc won’t do this to ensure that students who attend the course have the needed aptitude to go through such an intense course. That was the FIRST red flag. The person who interviewed me was Guillermo. He was over 2 hours late to the zoom interview I was booked on as he overslept. Again this wouldn’t be done by a professional flight school like Flyby Aviation. This was my SECOND red flag. I had initially only done minimal research on the flight school so I found this out later down the line that they had very bad reviews on Pprune: “if you're looking for a living hell, it's your place. They will extract your last little drop of motivation and turned it into a nightmare. If you complain they put you on the enemy side, you won't ever fly and your mates will turn you the back because they are threatened too. At the end, they won't refund you anything and you will end up from zero in another school. Welcome to Qualityfly” - https://www.pprune.org/professional-pilot-training-includes-ground-studies/594184-quality-fly-atpl-integrated.html After speaking to Christopher regarding the reviews he said that it has come under new management and he promised that the flight school is perfect. I was then told to complete an online form which had copies of their terms and conditions. Under these terms and conditions it stated: “Under 3.11 of your general terms and conditions it states the following: 3.11 REFUNABLE BOOKING DEPOSIT – As per 3.10, to book a Course you must pay a refundable booking deposit. The refundable booking deposit is considered part-payment of the total course price. Deposits are refundable only if at least 10 working days of cancellation notice is provided. Cancellations must be requested by email or telephone and will only be considered accepted once you have received written confirmation from QUALITY FLY. If you require a change of starting date, you must provide QUALITY FLY with at least 10 working days notice.” I was forced into paying the deposit of €7,950 because they told me they had a price increase and if I didn’t pay a deposit before a made up date I will have to pay €9000 more for the course. This was the THIRD red flag. However I still trusted them and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I sent them €7950. I was funding my course through a sale of an asset which I owned. Unfortunately the buyers backed out and I didn’t sell my asset. I was then unable to pay for my training and I requested a refund. They said I would only be able to get 80% back. However in the terms it says that you can get a 100% full refund if you cancel more then 10 working days in advance. Christopher was very unhelpful in this and told me if I wanted a refund I’d have to email the managing director Juan Cervero. I followed what he told me and emailed him. I get a response 5 days later saying I can only get an 80% refund as they had “fixed Costs” even though I didn’t attend any course and requested the refund 1 day after it was paid. I was forced by him to agree that I will accept 80% deposit and send this to him in writing on email. I sent the email to say I was happy with 80% however I wasn’t. I noticed a flaw within their employees which was irresponsibility and carelessness. I took advantage of this in my favour. I sent a fake email to the account manager Maria Gomez pretending to be the managing director and I requested a refund of the remaining 20% of the deposit. 2 days later I received the 20% refund. If a school is careless enough to send their own money to someone without proper checks, how can they train pilots?
